Veterinary Team
Our practice brings together veterinary technicians, assistants, and support staff who’ve chosen to focus on cats. We value people who are reliable, outgoing, and genuinely dedicated to feline care, and who thrive in a collaborative, family-friendly environment with regular team events. Certification is valued, and we’re always happy to hear from CVT students, new graduates, and experienced technicians alike. If you’d like to introduce yourself, you’re welcome to bring your resume and cover letter to the hospital to meet our Office Manager.
Volunteer Positions
Volunteer opportunities are available to high school SAE students and college veterinary students. Contact our Office Manager for more information.
Externships
Cat’s Corner Veterinary Hospital is an AAHA-accredited, Fear Free–certified, feline-only practice in Oxford, CT, focused on wellness, preventive care, and dentistry. Our externships are open to 3rd- and 4th-year veterinary students, with flexible dates and duration (most run 3–4 weeks). We can host one extern at a time, so we encourage students to apply early. Externs work closely with our veterinarians for a practical, mentored experience — assisting with exams and appointments, scrubbing into surgery, and helping with dental procedures and hospitalized patients during regular hours.
Requirements: Student AVMA PLIT insurance; enrollment in an accredited DVM program; authorization to work in the United States.
